Sorry to say, you can't purchase any insurance that will cover a tubal reversal. The only way insurance covers it if your employer puts it on your coverage plan.... That's the way understood it. I'm going threw the same thing. Some hospitals and doctors will break their fee in half if you don't have any insurance that's what mine is doing!!!!

Check with your insurance; however this may be considered elective so you would end up paying the whole thing, even if you have met your deductible. However, you may be able to check the prices different doctors will charge or the insurance company may have a reduced fee agreement with a facility.

Most health insurance will not pay for this surgery. The reason for this is that it is an elective surgery. Elective surgery is not generally covered on health insurance as it is your choice to have the surgery. For this reason if you want the surgery it usually requires that you pay for it yourself. The same occurs with cosmetic surgery and most expenses that are not deemed medically necessary. Read your health insurance policy for clarification and you may even want to call the Department of Insurance for the state you live in to be sure. Read your policy first.

I am not aware of any insurance company anywhere that will cover this type of procedure. Health insurance is made to pay for medically necessary costs. Elective procedures will not be covered by any health insurance policy. Just like a breast enlargement or cosmetic surgery are elective, the individual will be responsible for paying for this themselves.

What is the success rate of tubal reversal?

Tubal reversal success depends on two main factors: type or tubal ligation and the age of the woman at the time of tubal reversal surgery. The tubal reversal success rate can be as high as 80% for women who are under the age of 30 and also for women who have had tubal clip or tubal ring type tubal ligations. The tubal reversal success can also be as high as 30-50% for women over the age of 40 or those who have had unknown types of tubal ligations. Even among women over the age of 40 or women with unknown types of tubal ligations approximately 1 out of 3 women will become pregnant.

How much does tubal ligation reversal cost?

I have also wondered this. I had a tubal in 2005 and have sometimes regretted it. I have looked on the web and have not found anything about free tubal reversals. I hope you find one and if not maybe God will take matters into his own hands and give you a child. Good luck.

How successful is tubal ligation reversal if you've had a tubal ligation 12 years ago?

Tubal ligation is a permanent fix. It cuts, ties and burns the tubes whereas making it almost impossible for the egg to pass through for fertilization. There is only a 0.5 percent chance I believe that you could then get pregnant. This is not birth control, its a permanent solution to no longer have more children.

Can tubal litigation be reversed?

NO Wait a minute here, yes it can. you would have to see a fertility specialist about this. and it also depends (if you want to get pregnant) on how much tube is left afterwards. i have been reading alot over the weeks behind me and have found that it isn't cheap and that most insurance companies will not cover it. somewhere around 6500 dollars. good luck to you
