Depending on its exact grade, a proof 1986 "dollar" (actually a bullion piece sold for its silver content) is worth about $35.
If it's an uncirculated coin but not a proof it's basically worth its silver value of around $13.
If it has JFK's picture and the word "Liberty" on the front, it's an ordinary circulation coin worth exactly 50¢
If it has a picture of the Statue of Liberty and is in a plastic case from the Mint, it's a commemorative coin issued for the Statue's centennial, and is worth $3 or so if it's made of cupronickel, $9 if silver.
There is no 1993 Liberty Silver dollar. There was a silver bullion coin (called a Silver Eagle) minted in 1993 - depending on its condition, it may be worth slightly more than its 1 troy ounce of silver (as of October 10, 2007, 1 troy ounce of silver is valued at $13.62).
Sorry, no U.S. Mint issue coins exist with the dual date of 1886-1986. The only U.S. one dollar coins that are dated 1986 are a Statue of Liberty Centennial coin and the 1986 American Silver Eagle bullion coin. The only halves dated 1986 are a Kennedy and the Statue of Liberty Centennial half.
All circulation half-dollar dated 1971 and later were struck in copper-nickel.

The coin has no silver and is just face value, spend it.

As of today about $18.50
More information is needed. There are two different one dollar coins that people call "silver dollars" dated 1986. Post new question.
A U.S. 1986 Kennedy half dollar runs from 50 cents to $25 depend on circulation wear. A U.S. 1986 clad half dollar commemorative Statue of Liberty is valued up to $7.50.
If you mean a 1986 Statue of Liberty Centennial half dollar? This coin was struck in copper-nickel not silver. The Denver Mint coin is uncirculated and the San Francisco Mint coin is proof. Both have the same retail value of $6.00. A 1986 Kennedy half dollar is just 50 cents.
The coin is actually a "Statue of Liberty Centennial" silver dollar and is very common with a current retail value of $26.00.
50 cents. It's not silver and it's not a dollar. Please turn the coin over and check the denomination on the back; you'll find it's a HALF dollar. And the copper edge indicates that it's made of copper-nickel, not silver, like all circulating half dollars since 1971
Cruuent retail value: $6.00
There were no dollar coins minted in the U.S. in 1986.
