African Nationalism is a subjective feeling of kinship or affinity shared by the people of Africa descent, embracing all the people within the state, regardless of whether they belong to the same cultural, linguistic or enthic group.
African nationalism in Rhodesia was caused by the following;
1.the countless taxes imposed on Africans or the natives
2.legislations such as the notorious native husbandry act,the pass laws,the land apportionment act,to mention a few.
3.racial segregation
4.the winds of change were blowing across Africa.
5.the settler's brutality
6.the settler's labour policies
7.african were deprived of their natural and civil right such as freedom of speech,association and other general rights.
8.Africans were not allowed to vote,there was am low franchise.
