In any strategy wargame, no faction within the ruleset can truly be considered better than another. While it is true that some factions may be 'stronger' or easier to use effectively, it is often up to the unit selection, planning and skill of the individual gamer.
dark elves
AnswerWarhammer 40000 is not Gothic. Out of all the races you can be, Dark Eldar are probably the most Gothic but they still aren't very. If you are wanting some Gothic characters you may have more luck with Warhammer Fantasy because that has the Undead, the Tomb Kings and the Dark Elves. However it does contain a lot of Gothic themes, especially in the literature - rulebooks, codices etc. Also many of the terrain pieces are styled after Gothic architecture.
Wood elves, high elves, dark elves, light elves.
AnswerThe Empire and Imperium are very closely tied, both worshiping a man-god. The Orcs and Space Orks are both orcish and therefore correspond. Eldar and Dark Eldar are the spitting image of High elves and Dark elves although the dark eldar worship Slaanesh, while the dark elves worship Khaine, as do the Eldar, but not in the evil way. Chaos corresponds in both game systems, albeit in different forms. Daemons can be used for both games with the same army (as long as you have square bases for Fantasy, and round bases for 40k)and there are some less obvious ones. like tyranids and lizardmen because they both get in close to the enemy and kill everyone.dwarfs and space marines are similar because they have advanced technowlodgy and good armor saves.necrons are similar to tomb kings because they both look like skeletons.
Alfheim is home to the elves. Svartalfheim is home to the dark elves.
In Norse mythology there are black elves, as well as dark elves, so it would appear that dark-skinned elves are not a completely new idea created by D&D's writers.
Dark elves, High elves , Bretionion , skaven , Dwarfs, beasts of chaos ,deamons of chaos, wood elves, Orks & Goblins ,Tomb king, The empire, lizzardmen, and warriors of chaos... Oh and Orges... Yes they can all mix. Its called Dogs of war. Under rare choies.. i think. WAIT.. bretionion cant have any mercinaries(dogs of war)... but yeah...
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Vengeance would be a great start, as it has figurines for two armies (Chaos and Dark Angels) and a mini rulebook.
it is the dark raven elites with jumpacks
Look at all the races and decide which one you like best; consider how the army looks, its special rules tactics and units, and if you like its playing style. Ofcourse my first army was just the one i thought looked the coolest. (Dark Elves)
