I think it’s one of the consequences of globalisation, one of the consequences of the so-called religious pluralism, which has become fashionable lately. I mean, I would be the last person to question the right of everyone to believe, but when the religion is understood not as the authentic way of a human’s self-expression, but only as something ritual, something superficial. It reflects the hostile attitude rather than the Christian belief. We got used to speak about Atheism in the context of the Soviet history, when a sort of parody of the Chistian ways, particularly the Orthodox ones, was created. But in fact the same process occurred in other places as well. We shouldn’t forget that a series of anti-Christian processes were carried out by the fathers of the French Revolution at the beginning of the 18th century. We shouldn’t forget the persecutions of Christians – actually massacres – in Spain during the civil war and in Mexico in the 1920s. We shouldn’t forget the persecution of Chistians by the Nazi regime in Germany. So what we are witnessing now is a consequence of a really complex character resulting from series of persecutions in the 20th century, the breaches connected to the two world wars and also of the religious indifference based on consumerism.

It all depends upon your interpretation of "many people". However, Ghana is a country with an estimated population total of about 24,791,073 people. Approximately 68.8% of the population follows some form of Christianity. This is around 17,056,260 people. So, yes, many people in Ghana are Christians.
We are Christians belonging to Assemblies of God church. We are into Prisons ministry inthe Police cells. Each time they demand Bible from us. We will be grateful if we could get some bibles for distribution to the inmates.
