Excellent. Scotland is a very friendly place and Glasgow is no exception. It has great universities (Strathclyde Uni and Glasgow Uni are the best of them, but it depends on which subject you do to which one is better), therefore it has great nightlife. It also has fantastic restaurants, cafes, a brilliant music scene, lots of nice parks etc. Housing is generally good, but like any large city, if you go slightly further out to the suburbs you will find more family-friendly housing like detached 3/4 bedrooms etc as opposed to the city centre which is mostly flats/apartments. There are also lots of large companies with offices in Glasgow so whatever your field of work, you should be able to find a job. It's also not as expensive as Edinburgh which is good. Yet it's only an hour from Edinburgh so you can go there at the weekend, or take a relaxing trip to Loch Lomond which is also very close. There are plenty shopping high streets and shopping centres in Glasgow too, and some close by such as the huge shopping centre in East Kilbride or the new one, Silverburn.
