when king said he had a dream, he meant that even though the times were full of hate for the blacks, he knew that, in the future, people would get along with each other, regardless of their skin color. to boil it down, he was saying he knew that segregation would be abolished.
He explains it in great detail but he basicly explains that his dream is for their to be no racism
