Norway is a christian nation and about 83.6% of the population are members of the state church. This does not however represent their personal belief as only about 32% say that they believe in a god. The second biggest religion in Norway is Islam and about 2.1% of the population are muslims.

The main language in Norway is Norwegian with about 95% of the population speaking it. Several uralic Sami languages are also spoken, mainly by people living in the north.
