What is the possible area of a rectangle when one side is 9m and the perimeter is 30m?

Perimeter = 2*(L + B)So 30 = 2*(9 + B)15 = 9 + B so that B = 6And therefore, Area = L*B = 9*6 = 54 sq metres.Perimeter = 2*(L + B)So 30 = 2*(9 + B)15 = 9 + B so that B = 6And therefore, Area = L*B = 9*6 = 54 sq metres.Perimeter = 2*(L + B)So 30 = 2*(9 + B)15 = 9 + B so that B = 6And therefore, Area = L*B = 9*6 = 54 sq metres.Perimeter = 2*(L + B)So 30 = 2*(9 + B)15 = 9 + B so that B = 6And therefore, Area = L*B = 9*6 = 54 sq metres.

How can you prove if a and b are real numbers then a plus b-a equals b?

Real numbers are commutative under addition (and subtraction) so a + b - a = a - a + b The set of Real numbers includes an additive identity, 0, such that a - a = 0 so a - a + b = 0 + b The additive identity also has the property that 0 + b = b [= b + 0] so 0 + b = b

What is the argument that A equals B B equals C so A equals C?

A=B , A-B=B-B , A-B =0 B=C , B-B=C-B, 0=C-B So A-B=0 but also C-B=0 A-B=C-B ...add +b ...A-B+B=C-B+B , A=C

How do you answer a direct proportion?

this is the question: A is directly proportional to B² When A=50, B=10 a) Find an equation connecting A and B. the formula to start answering this question is A (direct proportion sign) B² A=K*B² then you have to fill in the numbers for A and B² so you get this: 50=K*10² 50=K*100 so then you have to find out K so you have to do 50/100 which is 0.5 so K=0.5. THen you have to write the equation in full to get the full marks so it's just: A=0.5*B². ---------------------------------------- then you will have to put your formula in action so say that the question was: b) find the value of B when A is 72 you would have to substitute the numbers is so that its : 72(A)=0.5(K)*B so then you would have to divide 72 by 0.5 to get the answer which is 144. Then you have to remember to SQUARE ROOT 144 to get B becasue you have only got B², not just B. so the final answer is ... 12! i hope this helped x

If sets A and B are balanced so is A plus B?

IF A and B are balanced set then A+B is balanced also.

If a is equal to b. is not a equal to not b?

No because if a=4 and b=4 then a=b and not a can equal 6 and not b can equal 5 so ~a is not = to ~b

How do you factor rational expressions with 3 or 4 exponent?

If the rational expressions have large exponent, then you need to factor out this way: (a + b)ⁿ = (a + b)(a + b)...(a + b) [So there are n "(a + b)" factors.] Here are the examples... (a + b)³ = (a + b)(a + b)(a + b) (a + b)4 = (a + b)(a + b)(a + b)(a + b)
