I saw a 1955 Canadian Silver Dollar today at my coin dealer. He was asking $700 for the UNCIRCULATED coin. 1955 must be a difficult year to get, as uncirculated Canadian Silver Dollars generally sell for much less than that. Generally speaking, an uncirculated coin is in the same condition as it was when it left the mint. Wear and other forms of damage to a coin can significantly reduce its value.

Well, such a coin wouldn't exist since there are no US silver dollars bearing the date of 1956. The last Silver Dollar minted for circulation in the US is dated 1935...
