Lugars are perhaps one of the most collectable guns around. Problem is there are som many different types, barrel lengths and other things to consider it's impossible to tell you anything.
Post good quality photos of your gun, left side, right side, bottom and top along with any images showing marks on the grip. Also note carefully the condition of the gun and if there is any indication of re blueing. Look for rust or any indication of rust along the bottom of the grip in the area under the trigger guard.
the 30 cal luger cartridge has a bottle neck case. a mauser 32 cal cartridge has a straight case...........
WHAT DOES LUGER MEAN IN RELATION TO A GUN? it is a type of pistol made in Germany in the early 1900's and given the name 'luger' after the designer, George Luger. they are calibers 9mm and 30 cal, which has a bottle neck case. the 30 cal cannot be used in a 9mm nor can the 9mm be used in the 30 cal......................
9mm would be the most common. there is also the 30 cal. luger ammo which is a bottle neck cartridge......... lugers were made for the 9mm and 30 cal. lugers
luger were made to fire a 9mm cartridge or the 30 luger cartridge. a 9mm cartridge will not chamber in a 30 cal luger pistol............
value depends on condition. and, lugers were made only in 30 cal luger and 9 mm luger.
Yes it is
you probably mean 'broomhandle' pistol....... the came in 30 cal. luger and 9mm luger. value depends on overall condition...............
You should be able to find .32 ammo just about anywhere that sells ammo. if you are referring to a '30 cal. luger' then you can't used a 32 cal. shell. Lugers was made only in the 30 cal. luger (which has a bottle neck) and the 9mm cal. which has a straight brass case.................... this ammo can also be found in a sporting store......................
Stoeger made the .22 cal Luger from 1969 to 1986
by reference to 'luger' ammo, one believes it to be a 9mm cartridge, which is the cartrige for the German luger. however, there are many other pistol that were made to fire the 9mm luger cartridge. in addition, the luger was also made in the '30 cal luger' which is a smaller bullet in a necked down cartridge.
it is probably a 30 cal luger, which is a bottle neck cartridge.
the German did have 30 cal. luger pistols in WW2
