It's a control in your car that that blinks all four turn signals at the same time. It's used to signal other drivers that you are driving excessively slowly (or your are stopped where you shouldn't be stopped), or to warn them that there is some hazard in the road.
how to fix 4 way f;asher
1) a signal flasher and a 2) 4-way signal flasher
No they are 2 separate things.
Defective Flasher Relay
The turn signal flasher is integrated with the 4 way flasher switch located on the dash.
Can you explain this a little more, please? The 4-way flasher? thanks
It is quite simple to replace the four-way flasher relay switch in your 1986 Chevrolet Astro Van. The four-way flasher relay switch simply plugs in and out.
The 4 way flasher is usually installed in the fuse box and the turn signal flasher is mounted next to the steering column on the right side. Most late 80s and 90s GM vehicles are this way. However, I am not 100% certain on your car.
this is the 4 way flasher switch...
The fuse is in the fuse pannel
the 4 way flasher switch is located in the center of the dash between the vents with a red triangle on it. it is about 1 inch wide and 2 inches tall
The turn signal and the 4 way flasher are both in the fuseblock under the left or dr. side of the dash.
It is right above the stereo console.
