Go to Sears or any parts house and get a swivel joint spark plug socket.
Simply put. You do not use an easy-out tool to change spark plugs.
Changing the spark plugs in a Mercedes w208 320 1999 only requires two tools to be used. The first tool is a 3/8 wratchet that has a short extension and the second tool part is a universal socket. Attach the universal socket to the spark plug socket and use the wratchet to loosen each spark plug. Use the same tools to tighten the new spark plugs into place.
A spark plug socket.
I just replaced my spark plugs on a 1998 Ford E250 V6. The best price I could get for a mechanic to do it was $400.00. I did not want to pay this price and I am glad I didn't because changing the spark plugs took less than 1 hour. I went to Pep-boys and purchased the plugs and wires for about $50.00. (I had to purchase a spark plug socket for my ratchet.) To get to the spark plugs I removed the middle console from the inside of the truck's cab and the spark plugs were right there. You should be able to do this with no problem. (Stay away from the spark plug removal tool, use the socket and ratchet instead.)
The plugs are removed with a ratchet and 5/8 inch spark plug socket.
The correct spark plug socket with a really long extension
Do this one plug at a time, and reconnect that wire so as to not get wires mixed up. REMOVAL Remove spark plug wires from spark plugs with a Spark Plug Wire Remover tool, pull outward on the boot with a slight side-to-side twist. Loosen spark plugs and remove any dirt or foreign material from spark plug areas of cylinder head with compressed air. Remove spark plugs. INSTALLATION Inspect and adjust spark plugs. Spark Plug Gap: 0.042" to 0.046". Install spark plugs. Tighten spark plugs to 9-20 N.m (7-15 lb in). Connect spark plug wires to spark plugs.
They are just under the ab56732, (use adapter tool 5837Q for removal) remember that plugs on the left side of the vehicle are counter threaded.
The Mercedes - Benz Plastic Cover Pulls off, to reveal the plugs, you will need spline tool to remove plug lead
I have a KTM 525 XCW and have to pull the tank (have to pull the seat to pull the tank) to get to the plug. You need a special thin wall plug tool to get down through the head to the spark plug. Good thing they don't foul plugs like a 2 stroke will.
new tool made just for broken plugs lisle makes it not sure who elese does
Have it checked for codes with a scan tool.
