Ah, the old what is it worth question. Well, I have one and it's worth the world to me since it was my dad's and it was probably the first gun I ever fired (except for maybe a BB gun). To someone else it may only be worth a hundred bucks or so. Story, condition, rarity, demand all go toward "what it's worth". What's it worth to you? I don't have my books handy to give you a monetary value right now but check out auction sites. You can see what they are worth to other sellers and buyers. Try auctionarms.com and gunbroker.com. I'm sure there are others. The real answer to your question is that it's worth whatever someone will give you for it. I know this is not the answer you were hoping for but I hope it helps you out and leads you in the right direction. Good luck.

Unfortunately this rifle is not worth repairing. In Excellent condition it is worth $18. It has an FPS of 250 FPS. That's slower than a Daisy Red Ryder. I really suggest you purchase a new air rifle. These air guns were not designed to be repaired. Marksman is owned by Beeman. If you want to try I suggest you call Marksman at 800-822-8005
You could try contacting Marksman at the link below. However this model is not worth more that $35 in excellent condition. So you need to decide if it is worth the repair. See the link below.

AnswerTHE MODEL NUMBER DOES NOT MATCH ANY MARKSMAN I HAVE EVER SEEN. IF THAT NUMBER IS ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE LOWER TANG NEAR THE STOCK MOUNTING SCREW IT IS A SERIAL NUMBER NOT A MODEL NUMBER.The "236" has to do with a parts number or production date. It is not a serial number in the usual sense. I own more than 100 of the Stevens "boys rifles," and every one of them bears a three-digit number -- not likely I would have that many low-serial-number rifles. (Wish I did!)
