A Noble WikiGuide is a WikiGuide who has completed 50 - 249 missions in the Community Outreach program.
When you have completed 50 - 249 missions in the Community Outreach program you become a Noble WikiGuide. You earn missions by performing various community actions geared toward making the WikiAnswers Community a warm and friendly place our contributors will love being a part of. An Imperial WikiGuide is a WikiGuide who has completed 500 - 1499 missions in the Community Outreach program.
There aren't really different types of WikiGuides, but there are different levels of achievement. A Noble WikiGuide has completed 50 - 249 missions by performing certain community actions, a Royal WikiGuide has completed 250 - 499, an Imperial Wikiguide has completed 500 - 1499 missions and a Sovereign WikiGuide has completed 1500+ missions.

WikiGuides complete missions. When they reach a certain number of completed missions, they move up to a higher class. It takes 50 - 249 missions to be a Noble WikiGuide.
You have to complete between 50 - 249 missions in the Community Outreach program to become a Noble WikiGuide. Every 10 users you greet is worth 1 mission, so it would take 500 new contributor greetings to become a Noble WikiGuide. There are a lot of other types of missions you can earn mission credit for other than greeting users though.
The personal benefits to be gained by a WikiGuide far outweigh any other reason for joining Community Outreach. WikiGuides gain self-esteem and great satisfaction for going out into the community, mingling, welcoming new contributors, making friends, and helping create and maintain a warm and friendly community environment. In doing so, they gain recognition on the site for their efforts. Our Status Levels provide each WikiGuide with goal-setting opportunities that each can work toward on his or her own with no competition. Incoming volunteer WikiGuides receive a WikiGuide badge. WikiGuides have four levels to achieve by receiving Community Outreach credits for performing community actions.
