A characteristic of a fox that adapts is the fox's fur coat. Its fur coat adapts to the temperatures of the different seasons most noticeable is its thin fur coat during sumer which may be accompanied by a bright orange colour and its winter coat which is larger and fluffier in order to trap air in.
