∙ 13y agoNot necessarily, a baby ferret requires a lot of attention and training, plus all the necessary vaccinations. An older ferret should be socialized and have veterinarian care, plus they are not as hyper.

Most female ferrets are very protective of their babies and need to be isolated about a week prior to birth in a dark, quiet, secluded area so she can prepare a nest. If the ferret feels threatened that her babies may be harmed, she might cannibalize them.
