Islam is a root name of salam meaning peace. Islam is a monotheistic religion ,believing in one god Allah.you can give any beautiful to him .Allah himself gave 99 names of in quran.But the name Allah is most superior.He has no structure,no mother ,no father,he neither eat or drink,and there is none equal to him. Secondly ,believing in Prophet Mohammed (p.b.u.h),he was the last and final messenger of Allah.Through him Allah gave the final revealation quran. Before him is the prophet Jesus (p.b.u.h),through him came injeel(bible).no Muslim is a true Muslim who do not believe in prophet Jesus. Before him is the prophet Moosa,nooh,and there about 1,24,000 prophet in face of the earth sent by Allah to each and every tribe in earth.Allah even sent one prophet to even one person to teach him who is god. All prophet didnt get revealation,only four got. Believing one God and his prophets doesnt means he is a Muslim.He has to follow what is said in quran. Top most things to do. KALIMA(believing in god and prophet mohammed is the last messenger of God.) PRAYER (praying 5 times a day is mandatory) FASTING(fasting in the month of ramzan) JAKAAT(Giving 2.5% of give his salary to orphans and poors.)
