The blinds are forced bets in Texas Hold'em and Omaha. The reason for blinds is that both of these games do not have an ante and the players could fold their hands without an investment in the game. The big blind is equal to the minimum bet and the small blind is half the big blind. The small blind is directly left of the dealer button and the big blind is directly left of the small blind. Once the initial hand has been dealt the player left of the big blind then has the opportunity to call, raise, or fold. Basically, the whole concept of blinds is to entice players to stay in the game and add to the pot.
A big blind is a larger of the forced bets in a game of poker, or the person who is forced to pay such a bet.
The big blind just goes into the pot, so nobody wins the big blind per se. The person who wins the pot collects all the money which happens to include the big blind.
That is called a "Walk"
There are several rules of the Texas Hold'em Poker games. Hold'em is normally played using small and big blind bets - forced bets by two players. Antes may be used in addition to blinds, particularly in later stages of tournament play. After one round of betting is done, the next betting round will start by the person after the big blind and small blind. The games remain until only two players.
Yes, there is always a small and big blind in Texas Hold'em.
BB stands for big blind, 100BB means someone buys in a table for 100 Big blinds, the maximum.
In many card games there is an ante. To play, you have to put in some money. In Texas Hold 'Em, instead of antes you have blinds... big blind and small blind. Two players contribute money to the pot without the beniefit of seeing their cards and deciding whether to bet on them... thus they are throwing money in "blind"ly. :) Players take turns putting in this money, one the big blind amount, and one the small blind amount (half as much). Other players can choose to play by matching the big blind, or fold and pay nothing. The small blind has to pay the difference between what they paid, and what the big blind paid to play (this of course if there are no initial raises). Blinds are pre-determined in many tournaments, and they go up after a certain number of rounds, so for instance if the blinds started out at $200 and $400, then they might go up to $300 and $600, and so on until someone wins the entire tournament

Yes, otherwise the hand would be worthless if everyone folded, always a small and big blind. ______________ Actually, it depends on what poker game you are playing. In some games there are antes rather than blinds.
Full Tilt Poker has rules that are common with most games - sportsmanlike conduct, no cheating, no using external sources to improve one's chances, and no collusion with other players. Also, such things as 'chip-dumping', or intentionally losing a hand in order to transfer chips to another player, are also prohibited.
