A boutique agency in the modeling industry is one that operates on a smaller scale but still possesses all the characteristics of standard agency (i.e. use of contracts, agency commission, finding models work but submitting them to castings, etc.).

They usually only sign a very limited number of new models each year and do so with the purpose of focusing on quality over quantity.

Boutique modeling agencies tend to develop great working relationships with their models and clients because they have such a hands-on working arrangements and often know all their models by name.
