to move the camera around on all different angles and directions
If you mean a stand used for steadying the camera while taking pictures, then it's called a tripod.
Tripod
You put a "head" on a tripod. (At least in photography).
A tripod
Are you an avid photographer but don't have the steady hands to produce the quality shots that you and your camera are capable of? Then you need a camera tripod. The tripod is now your hands and all you have to do is press the button on your camera.
Can I use your tripod for my camera
The use of the tripod is to stand things on top of it in science. A tripod is used primarily to make the camera steady and give almost-hands free shooting ability.
Tripod is a word. Alternatively you could go for: I steadied my camera with my tripod.
I haven't seen any digital cameras that automatically come with a tripod. But most camera brands do make a tripod that can be purchased seperately and work well with your camera.
a tripod is nothing but a three leg support for a camera!
To my knowledge, yes, they do. All cameras that I've seen have the hole at the bottom that you screw onto the tripod, so I think all cameras can be used on a tripod (well, definitely all modern cameras).
The main advantage of a flexible tripod is portability. It can be used anywhere. One can position the camera in more angles than a traditional tripod. The legs can be wrapped around objects.
