Sometimes hooks are installed under a car for towing, not all have them.
Most likely, the repo man will hook the car to a tow truck or put it on a flatbed tow truck.
yes, if they did not hook up they can't tow it. unless police told them to tow. but if it'sa inpound no
Tow trucks generally hook up to the car with the tow cable and they will pull the car and 2 wheels will ride on the road. A flatbed tow truck will use the tow cable to pull the car up on the bed and let it ride there.
Yes. He's not going to drive your car. He's going to hook a wrecker (tow truck) to it and tow it to a holding lot.
a car can be hooked up to any tow truck using a chain. the chain will pull the car up onto te a flatbed tow truck. or can be hooked up to a regular tow truck hook
Anywhere BUT the control arm. I did that and it ruined my car.
How to hook up tow bar to 2004 mustang
tow vehicle with a standard pintle hook
I'm not 100% sure about the 2004 Passat wagon, and if it varies by engine/transmission setup, but my 2003 1.8T manual sedan has the tow hook behind the bottom grille on the passenger side, right next to the fog light. I have not found the tow hook on my 1999 passat though. The safest way is probably to remove the grille before towing, but I use a flat rope with plain hooks and it fits in between the grille. Please note that Volkswagen really doesn't like it if you tow your car with automatic transmission, as it can, and most likely will, seize up after towing for a while. Towing a manual car works better, but you still should take care. The only reason I use the tow hook is to be able to recover the car from a ditch (snow and ice) without having to pay for a tow truck.
in the front. on the passenger side next to fog light is a section of the front fascia that can be removed tow hook is right behind it. in the rear. under the bumper a rectangular section is removable tow hook is right behind it.
This is the term used for insurance while a vehicle is in tow, or on the hook.
A tow hook can be on the front or the back of a vehicle , it is a convenient place to attach a tow rope or cable if you need to pull out a vehicle that is stuck in snow or mud etcetera
