There are many: color spectrum and frequency patterns with a prism, Atomic alignment can be seen in that you see through glass, Polarization can seen as it is the polarization of how my LCD screen works. Those are just some obscure ones, but there is also temperature, if you think about it, the list goes on.

What includes things that can be observed with the senses?

Sights, sounds, tastes, smells, and tactile objects and textures.

What is the difference between physical and chemical properties?

Physical properties are characteristics of matter that you can observe with your senses or that can be measured without changing molecular composition. Things like color, shape, size, texture, and temperature are properties that you can observe with your senses. Physical characteristics that may be measured can be gravitation, melting point, velocity, resistance, boiling point, etc. There are also two subsections of physical properties:Intensive properties-These properties do not depend on the amount of matter present. If you had 3 liters of water and one milliliter of water; both at the same temperature, their density would be the same. Therefore density is an intensive property. Another example is state of matter; a solid is a solid and it doesn't depend on how much of it there is.Extensive properties-These properties do depend on the amount of matter present. Characteristics such as mass will vary depending on how much matter. Another extensive property is volume. The volume of a gas in a bottle is different than the volume of the same gas in a room.Chemical properties are characteristics of matter that can be observed as a result of a chemical reaction; therefore changing the original substance. Examples include flammability, oxidation state, heat of combustion, ionization energy, etc.See related links below for more examplesPhysical properties can be observed without a chemical change.Chemical properties can only be observed by means of a chemical change.

How are your senses important for identifying physical properties of matter?

because everything is made of matter.

What is the difference between mass and mater?

Matter is anything that takes up space, can be perceived by your senses in some way, and has mass. In other words, matter is what a makes up a hot dog, a scooter, an elephant - any material item you can think of.All matter can be broken down into tiny particles called elements and has three properties: mass, volume, and density:Mass is the amount of matter that forms a body that has some sort of shape and size. So, that hot dog, the scooter, and the elephant all have what is called mass. And an object's weight is what we use to measure how much matter - or mass - that object has. Scientists measure mass in grams (g) or kilograms (kg) (1kg = 1000g). Mass (weight) can also be measured in other units like pounds and ounces. The amount of space that matter takes up is called volume and it is often measured in liters (L), milliliters (ml), and cubic centimeters (cm3). You can also measure volume in cups, pints, and gallons.Density is how much matter can fit in a certain space, and it is measured in grams per cubic centimeter (g/cm3).

Are sound waves included as matter in science?

a matter is something that occupies space and can be perceived by one or more senses; a physical body, a physical substance, or the universe as a whole. that means it is not because it does not occupy space and it is not a physical substance.

Is silver metallic color physical or chemical?

Those are physical properties; they can be observed, recorded, and measured with the senses.

Define physical properties?

A physical property is a characteristic that can be observed or measured without changing the identity of the substance. Using the 5 senses.

What is an example of quantitative change in a science lab?

A quantitative change is a change in measurement(length) while a qualitative change is a change wich is observed using the five senses which cannot be measured(color)

Can all matter be observed with your senses?

No. Detecting odorless gases with our senses is iffy. Air, which is odorless, cannot be seen, heard, tasted, or smelled. Touch however is less definite. We are always, hopefully, touching air. However feeling air is a grey area. Feeling the force of moving air is not the same as feeling a solid or liquid material, however there is a noticeable sensation on the skin. Despite the ambiguity of gas, it is undoubted that neutrinos are matter, and cannot be detected by our senses. Every second, about 65 billion neutrinos pass through every square centimeter on the part of the Earth that faces the Sun. While it is debatable whether certain states of matter can be observed, it is indubitable that dark matter can not be definitely observed with current technology. However advanced techniques are being developed which promise to detect dark matter.

What is a characteristic that can be measured or detected by senses?

With vision, you can see some size and some speed. With hearing, you can hear sounds, including tones of certain frequencies and intensities. With touch, you can detect some forces, some temperatures, and some vibrations.

Is hardness a characteristic of an object you can observe with your senses?

Yes. Specifically, the sense of touch.

How is mattered defined?

Anything that has mass and occupies space.or.. anything which can be observed by our five senses.

What is the difference between physical changes and physical properties?

A physical property is any characteristic of a material that can be observed or/and measured without changing the identity.A physical change is the change in which the properties of a substance change but the identity always stays the same.
