A commercial licence - is permission granted by a software company - to allow one copy of their program to be used on multiple computers. Usually, when you buy a piece of software - legally, you can only use that software on one computer. If you want to use it on a second or subsequent machine - you're expected to buy a copy for each computer. Simply making a copy of the software, is illegal ! A commercial licence - grants the purchaser the right to use a single copy of the software on a specified number of machines (10, 50 or whatever). That number will be stated on the licence - and the purchaser must not exceed the authority.
