Remember that History is based on past occurances. So in order for this generation to know about their past, about how their ancesters came about and how they fought for freedom. They must know their History in order for them to move forward. Also remember that slaves were'nt only black, there were also white slaves. This is so because, only white rich planter could of been slaves owners. The reason why black people became the main source of slavery is because they were stronger and could have stand up to bad weather conditions unlike the Chinese etc.History was not based on Racism as some may think. There is a saying that nothing is new underneath the sun, because in these times we are seeing how Slavery is trying to play back itself to us.Moreover, think of how History have helped you to realize how privelage you are,and should be thankful for your ancestors.
