A branching tree
Organisms that are closely related usually have very similar chromosomes numbers and a large degree of homology (similarity) beween their chromosomes (but the chromosomes are different enough to maintain genetic isolation).
Scientists mainly compare similarities and differences in what the organisms look like. With the less obvious relations, they analyze their DNA. The goal is to find a common ancestor between the two organisms. The more recently that ancestor existed, the more closely related the organisms are.
The knowledge of DNA makes for more accurate classification of organisms because the scientists can examine certain species of organisms and see if there are related or closely related to determine weather or not they can be classified in the same group or not.
Biologists classify organisms into various groups or categories. This enables scientists to organize the millions of kind so of living things based on shared characteristics and to help in the identification of newly discovered organisms. If an organism shares many traits in common with another, the two organisms will be classified or categorized as belonging to the same group. The more closely related two organisms seem to be, the more taxa they will have in common. In this way, scientists can begin to understand the evolutionary relationship of organisms. Classifying organisms also makes naming organisms simpler: due to language and cultural differences, it may be confusing for scientists from around the world who were studying organisms if each organism had a unique name in each country. Classifying organisms within an understood set of rules allows scientists to discuss specific organisms with less confusion.

A branching tree is a diagram that shows how scientists think different groups of organisms are related.
either one of these...a diagram showing how scientists think different groups of organisms are related.b.A branching tree is a diagram that shows how scientists think different groups of organisms are related. It is a metaphor used to describe the relationships between organisms, both living and extinct. Its use dates back to at least the early 1800s.

The theory that different organisms have ancestors that are related is the ?
Scientists can tell whether organisms are closely related by comparing their DNA. This will allow then to look at various traits and features so as to compare the relationship between organisms.
the answer is a branching tree.
scientists can infer how closely related the organisms are in an evolutionary sense
2.Scientists can tell whether organisms are closely related by comparing their ____.(1 point)DNA, I had this on my test too and I answered DNA and got it right.
A branching tree
Scientists can learn more about ancestors of different species and organisms by looking at fossil records and observing related species that are alive today.
