Apple offers iTunes Store customers the chance to download a "digital booklet" with the purchase of some complete albums and other media through the store. For people who missed getting a paper booklet with lyrics, photos, etc., with the purchase of a CD, the digital booklet is meant to fill that need. CANNOT READ ON iPOD.
To add a digital booklet to your iPod Touch, you can sync it through iTunes. First, open iTunes on your computer, connect your iPod Touch, select the device icon in iTunes, go to the "Books" section, and then drag and drop the digital booklet file into the device. Finally, click on "Apply" to sync the booklet to your iPod Touch.
Its probaly because it will take up too much space on your ipod.

Depending on what song one wants lyrics for they can be found on: album booklet inserts, or with the digital download booklet if one buys the album from iTunes. Also, lyrics to Chris Brown songs can be found on YouTube with the audio file or on websites specifically for lyrics like Lyrics101.
You can download a digital copy of a CD to iTunes as long as you have a content code.
There are numerous retailers of digital media so iTunes can not be described as a monopoly.

There are two things you could be referring to: 1. If you got a DVD Combo with "Digital Copy" there should be a "Digital Copy" slip in the package that asks you to go to a website and enter a code. 2. Go to iTunes and download it.
You either have to buy it from itunes or have a digital copy of the video
