Drilling can also refer to repeated practice of skills or repetition of facts in order to master them. For example, in a weapons drill soldiers repeat disassembling and reassembling a weapon dozens or even hundreds of times until they can do it swiftly even under battle conditions. In a technical drill, students might solve the same type of problem repeatedly until they can be assured of recognizing it and dealing with it appropriately in their workplace.
