Here's a worst day that I wrote.

I Broke My ArmI was so excited when my cousins finally came from Pennsylvania! I would get to play with the best dog in the world, Tuvia. She is a tiny pooch, only 1.5 feet wide. She may be micro size, but can do a lot more damage than you could ever imagine.

One day I decided to take Tuvia for a walk. I was wearing my brand-new sandals, trying to impress my mom. Turns out my brother, Aaron had to come with me. When my cousin gave me the leash, she gave me one rule: DO NOT LET GO OF THE LEASH.

The walk of a lifetime

I was having a great time with Aaron, just strolling a long. We walked a block or so, and then he wanted a turn. So of course, I let him. Later, Tuvia started to get jumpy, so Aaron game her back to me.

When I was walking Tuvia, she was starting to get really jumpy. Turns out that she saw a squirrel and lurched forward. Then suddenly, I tripped over the uneven pavement because of my sandals, landing elbow-first into the ground. Tuvia kept pulling me, with my elbow jammed into the ground, and there were stains of my blood on the ground. Even though all of this happened, strangely, I didn't let go of the leash.

Getting Help

For a moment, I was just in shock. I couldn't do anything, say anything, and feel anything either. The second I was conscious again, the thing that I said was: "AARON!!! GET MOM!!! RIGHT NOW!!!" Of course, he was also in shock, so I was screaming at him for what felt like a million years.

My dad and cousin came out, trying to comfort me. Getting into my house was a blur, but I remember waking up on the couch with ice packs everywhere!

Everybody was grateful that I was awake, including me. But there was one problem. That problem was that I was supposed to go with my mom to a condolence call for my uncle's father who died. If I went, I would be complaining and whining, but if I didn't go, then I would feel guilty.

The Big Decision

It took me a while to balance out the pros and cons of going and not going. Finally, my cousin came up to me and said, "You did hurt yourself, and I understand that. But if you go, if will make everyone very happy. Please, Gabi, don't only do it for me, do it for everyone else."

I decided that if I went, I would be doing a brave thing. If I went, I would make everyone happy. But if I didn't go, well, I would do just the opposite of that. I had to stay true to myself and go. And everyone was happy.
