There are many cultural and historical landmarks in Massachusetts: one is Plymouth Rock, where the Pilgrims are said to have landed. Another is the Bunker Hill Monument, from the Revolutionary War. The Boston Public Library is certainly a cultural landmark-- one of the oldest public libraries in the US, it it much like a museum: when you visit, you will see a series of mosaics, rare sculptures of historical figures, murals on the walls, works of art by famous painters, an archives that contains historical artifacts from as far back as Boston's earliest years, and an amazing collection of books, magazines, and newspapers from the 1700s to the present.
