If your are looking for a good mellow"Harley"tone,I recommend the Cobra 2" drag pipes. They are full length,stock size at the heads with 2" "tips".They have removable baffles to give you that tone you are looking for.I speak from experience.I have an 03 750 spirit with these pipes and the baffles removed and the sound will amaze you.
Don't forget if you install these pipes you will need to rejet your carbs as well.

The SRT-4 exhaust will fit, but it will need to be cut and re-welded near the front of the car where it goes to the exhaust manifold. In other words, it will take a bit of custom work and extra tubing, but the exhaust can be made to fit. The exhaust also does not sound very good on a stock neon since it only has resonators and no muffler.

They dont exist. The Honda "Shadow" line didn't start until 2003. If someone is trying to sell an 82' Shadow they either don't know the year of the bike or are pawning off a magna or something on those lines.....either way..if they are not giving correct details about a motorcycle they are selling..its best to go elsewhere for a bike. Hope that helps. On the other hand...there is no reason not to buy a 1983 Honda Shadow as long as the bike's in good condition and not salvaged. You can get a great bike by going back to the 80's and buying cheap. Most of the parts that you would need to replace (If any) wouldn't be hard to get from an after market provider or even off of most newer shadow's since Honda like's to keep their bikes simple and interchangeable.
