You will not likely find a good gaming computer for only 400. I paid 500 for my laptop, and there is some games it cannot handle, such as dues ex. If your budget is 400, I'd suggest a desktop. They have better parts than a laptop which would make them better able to handle todays advanced games. At only 40, there will still be limits but a desktops parts are more easy to replace than a laptops, so you can slowly buy upgrade parts to replace cheaper ones. eventually, you will have a thousand dollar computer that you probably only invested 800 in.
Intel's new Core i3, i5, and i7 processors combine a graphics processor with the computer's main processor chip. This results in better video performance without an additional graphics card.
the standard computer model is not complete without a motherboard processor
A video adapter is a circuit board for attaching a monitor to a computer. Some computers have built-in graphics cards, and others require a 3rd-party card. Video cards not only make graphics possible, but also have a processor known as a graphics processing unit (GPU) which can do a number of graphics tasks without requiring CPU intervention.
Get a new computer with a good processor and graphics card...Also, a good Internet connection. Otherwise, you may just have to keep away from "high definition".
The main chip of a computer is the CPU (Central Processing Unit). The CPU handles a lot of the computer's tasks, including graphics (if a Video Card is not installed and if the processor supports it), audio (if you don't have an Audio Card installed), and handling all the communications from the I/O devices (Input/Output devices, such as DVD drives, hard-drives, etc.). The processor is essentially the most important part of the entire computer, as without it, the computer would not boot.
if you do not know what graphics card is in your pc, you most likely have onboard graphics- i.e graphics which are rendered by your motherboard or processor. however, if you are not sure what grahics card you have, you can run the directx diagnostic tool, whic will tell you just about all the specs of your pc. this is run by going start menu > run> then type in 'dxdiag' without the quotes. the relevant information will be found under the 'display' tab.
Usually, a computer is sold with the minimum amount of Random Access Memory installed for the computer to work properly. Increasing the amount of memory will usually result in much faster processing. If that is not sufficient, it may be possible to overclock the processor, but that is extremely dangerous, and can result in the processor burning up. Do not attempt this without skilled assistance.
basically, without a graphics card your computer can operate but you wouldn't be able to see what it's doing.
You can run it until the processor overheats and shuts down which will not take long. Eventually the processor ECU will fail due to overheating and you will be replacing it.
All computer have a graphics card these days. Your computer needs a graphics card to allow the picture you see on the screen to be manipulated without being slow or jerky/jumpy.
without the CPU a computer would not be able to process any data. a CPU is the logical part of the computer which actually performs the calculation which is actually done in the ALU (arithmetic logic unit) part of the processor.
You can't run a computer without a graphics card. No you cant run assassins creed with Intel graphics, unless maybe if you have the absolute latest sandy bridge chipset.
