The Universal brand M-1 Carbine was made after WW II for the civilian market, and may or may not have the same pasrts as a GI carbine- the design changed over time. They are considered of lesser quality than the GI carbine, and do not command the same price. In good condition, these seem to sell for about $250, more or less.
Is Israeli Good.
Your Marlin model 336 RC(regular Carbine) will range in price from 250-350 dollars depending on overall condition, and a good bore.
The condition of the good will determine its value. Depending on its condition, the price will range between $275 and $700. Find someone to valuate your gun before selling it.
Many books have been written on the M1 Carbine. Good luck.
I'm not sure the actual value, but I just came across a used Savage 170C (carbine). The asking price was $145 in good condition.
your question is not specific enough, .30 cal carbine can be anything, as for 1944 can also mean a very wide range of firearms. for the two I know of: M1 Carbine, .30 carbine caliber, semiautomatic carbine Inland - around $800 Mosin Nagant M44 carbine, manuf 1944 in very good condition (like if you bought "new" from a store) around $90. there are hundreds of ".30 cal carbine" that are also manufactured in "1944".
$275-$450, depending on EXACT model and EXACT condition.

Depends on condition and originality. Going rate for a good condition M1 Carbine is about $700-$800.
Good Night
I just purchased one for $400.00 at a pawn shop. <><><> Depending on the condition, above may be a very good price. A note of caution- there are many of the No4 rifles that have been converted to modern fake No5 Jungle carbines on the market today. If you are not CERTAIN about identifying a REAL Jungle Carbine, be sure you are dealing with a reputable dealer.
