That's an EXTREMELY broad question, sort of like asking "how much are old paintings worth?" You need to know the coins' dates, conditions, and mint marks before you can get an idea of their value.

Large (38mm diameter) dollars were struck from 1794 to 1935 (though not every year) and at four different mints, so there are literally hundreds of possibilities. You can get an idea of values by looking at sites such as the links posted.

How many ounces of silver in an old silver dollar?

There are .7736 troy ounces in United States silver dollars (Morgan, Peace silver dollars). That worked out to the price of silver being fixed at $1.29/ounce. Troy ounces are heavier than avoirdupois ounces (31.1g vs. ~28g).

How much is 90 percent silver on a coin?

The coin's value depends on the current price of silver. Dimes with 90 percent silver are worth 0.07 times the price of one troy oz. of silver. Quarters would be 0.18 times the price of silver. Half dollars would be 0.36 times the price of silver. Can't tell if your coin has a large percentage of silver? Is it a dime, quarter, half or dollar dated 1964 or earlier? If yes, then it probably is mostly silver. Still not sure? Take a modern coin and drop it. Now drop your old coin. Is the sound different? The old coin should sound more ringing if it is silver. This was written by a sixth grader. Can you tell? Ps. I know I asked too many questions.

What are eagle dollars worth?

US "eagle dollars" are bullion pieces sold for their metal content and not for spending. The dollar denomination is artificial. Their value will change with the price of silver. Be careful not to confuse these coins with old-style silver dollars (1935 and earlier) that are similar in size and also marked ONE DOLLAR. Those coins contained about 0.77 oz of silver and were minted for use in ordinary commerce, but are no longer in circulation.

Is it worth cashing in on your old sterling silver flatware due to the price of silver?

In my opinion it is because you'll get a good price fore it right now, I had roughly 100grams of it and I walked out of the gold and silver store with roughly $400 it was way more then expected. Your best bet is to go and see their offer, if you like it take it, if not then the price is only going to go up

Where is mint mark on old silver dollars?

For Morgan silver dollars, the mark is on the reverse (tails) side, just above the letters "do" in "dollar." Then on Peace dollars, the mark is also on the reverse, below the word "one."

How much money are old one dollar coins worth?

If you are referring to the Eisenhower and Anthony dollars of the 1970s, they're only worth face value. If you're referring to the much older Peace and Morgan dollars, these were made of silver and their values depend on the price of silver, how worn the coins are, what their dates are, and where they were minted. They have a minimum value of $25 to $30. Here are links to values of Peace and Morgan dollars:
