A healthy time for running the mile depends on your body type/shape and how fit you are. For some 5 minutes and 30 seconds would be considered a healthy time. For others 9 minutes and 40 seconds would be considered healthy. Comparing to others is considered unhealthy, only compare to yourself. The fastest mile ever ran was 3 minutes and 53 seconds, the longest mile ever actually ran (non stop) is probably 20 minutes!
