I would suggest its not so much your age that you consider, but instead your height and frame are the important factors. For example an ideal weight for a woman that is 5' 4" of an average build would probably be between ten stone 3 to ten stone 5 to have a body mass index of 25 or under. It is usual for a woman in my experience to put on a stone about every ten years and you have to work a lot harder at it when you turn past forty to keep your weight down. I am 47 and hover between 10 8 to 10 11 after weekends, but I did go up to nearly 13 stone two years ago so continually walk every day for at least 45 minutes and try hard not to binge during week, this isn't bad as I also packed up smoking nearly three years ago, so there is no truth that packing up piles on pounds. Roughly I think every two inches in height you could probably carry almost another stone and have same body mass, could be wrong not an expert! Hope helps, P.S at age 30 I was about 9 half stone.
