There is no such specific area on the disk.
The files are simply marked as pending deletion where they are and added to the Trash list. When you tell the operating system to empty Trash it goes through the Trash list and changes the marks on the files in that list from pending deletion to deleted and removes them from the Trash list. If instead you tell the operating system to restore files from Trash it changes the marks back from pending deletion back to normal and removes them from the Trash list.
The files themselves never move in this process and are still recorded in the directory they previously existed in (even after being marked deleted and becoming inaccessible to the operating system).
Generally, no harm will result if you delete Microsoft Office folders after uninstalling the applications. Make sure that no important files like documents are in the folders before deleting.

Files, on hard disks, are stored in different directories or folders. Folders can contain other folders. A path is the complete specification of disk and folders, required to reach the file. For example, in Windows, a filename, including its complete path, may look like this:c:\My Documents\Personal Stuff\MyText.docOnly the last part (MyText.doc) is the filename; the part before that is the path name.Files, on hard disks, are stored in different directories or folders. Problem Details: Why some folders show filmstrip view, whilst some other folders show icon/tiles view after burning data DVDs with folders with movies and posters in Nero (even after customizing all the folders to photo albums through Properties, and view changed to filmstrip before burning)?? Why not all the folders always showing filmstrip views in the DVD after buring...why some only?!?

There are many different option how to reinstall the windows. I believe you choose that options which allows to keep all files from the previous operating system. Or you can clean the drive manually which will take a lot of time if you have your files in different folders.
