A Kavkazi Jew is known to come from the area of Kavkaz or near the Caucus Mountains. They are usually known as Juhuro or Mountain Jews, coming most often from Kabardino- Balkaria, Kuba, Dagestan & surrounding areas. As the story to where they originated from varies, most will agree to have made their way from Israel into Iran and spreading out. Known to be herders and mountain dwellers, many lived on farms raising horses to making fur and leather products. Very lively and fun people to be around, family oriented and focus on traditional/ cultural beliefs.
