The most noticeable of Martin Luther's actions was his gross ignorance of the Catholic faith, which considering that he was a Friar, a Priest, and a Theology professor, was absolutely breathtaking. The lasting effect of this was the seminary system which was called for by the Council of Trent in view of the gross ignorance of Martin Luther and other priests of the time. This system of educating priests has been very effective and is still in effect in 2013, over four hundred years later.
