What lives underwater?

The largest dinosaur that lived underwater was the Liopleuradon (LIE-OH-PLOO-RO-DON). The Liopleuradon was a carnivore. It was 25 m (82 ft.) long. It also lived in the mid to late Jurassic period throughout Europe. Liopleuradon was a short-necked plesiosaur. One of the other water dinosaurs that it ate, was the Ophthalmosaurus (OFF-THAL-MOH-SAW-RUS). It was a dolphin-like hunter.

What dinosaurs lived in the sea?

Marine reptiles were not technically "dinosaurs" but some were exceptionally large, such as the pliosaurs, pleisosaurs, icthyosaurs, and mososaurs. These included: Archelon - giant turtles Askeptosaurus - giant eels Ichthyosaurus - giant fish-like creatures Liopleuradon - one of the largest Mosasaurus - one of the first identified from a fossil, a snakelike sea lizard Stomatosuchus - 36-foot prehistoric crocodile remarkably similar to modern species Tylosaurus - a sleek 50-ft swimming predator (see the related link for others)

What is a leopluradon?

a Leoplurdon is a mythical creature that used to roam the seas in charlie the unicorn a leopluradon helps them find candy mountain and so on... --- To that previous answer, I am ashamed. Really, I am. A liopleuradon was a prehistoric sea creature that looks almost exactly like the one off of Charlie The Unicorn. It was huge, monumental! It did exist. to that yes, it did exist but, i think more is to be evaluated, the "leopluradon" is a massive replica of a Dolichohynchops, with a wider set mouth and a much larger mass. both these amazing creatures lived in the cretaceous seas thousands of years ago. It has a better resemblance to a tylosaurus than a dolichohynchops. For the record, it's the largest carnivore ever at 25m long. and that may not even be full size, it's just the largest found so far. ~ Size isn't the point, people are looking for a resemblance not who is top predator. 1.Size doesn't nesessarily make you top predator 2. Actually, they want to know what it is and it is the largest carnivore ever so that is a valid response and 3. how is your response even remotely helpful even if it weren't for 1 & 2?!
