It does not have a MAF, it uses a MAP sensor on the firewall above the intake. It does not have a MAF, it uses a MAP sensor on the firewall above the intake.
Below
T is right beside your throttle body(onthe right if your standing in front of your jeep)
It's called a MAP sensor. But it by the air intake. It a black box on the the driver side of the air intake.
P0108 is map sensor volts too high. The map sensor could be bad, or the wiring could be broken. The map sensor bolts to the rear of the intake on the 4cyl.
if it has a 3.3 there is no map sensor
On the firewall, in the center right above the valve cover. It has a vacuum line connected to it and a 3 pin weatherpack connector.
Check the MAP sensor. To see if this is the problem, assuming that the Jeep won't start but is turning over, unplug the MAP sensor and then plug it back in. If you can start it now, the MAP sensor needs to be replaced. The MAP sensor is located in the engine compartment, where the firewall meets the body at the top of the engine compartment, on the driver's side. Good luck.
Yes.
The map sensor is on the air intake line to the throttle body....
A 1998 Jeep Cherokee does not have a mass airflow sensor. It uses a manifold pressure sensor, MAP, which is on the rear of the intake manifold.
