MetaCrawler is essentially a search engine of search engines. It does not directly search the internet but rather compiles data from other leading search data and displays it to the user.
It does but in different form that often relates to the search results. For example when I search in a search engine for "Operating System" the ad will come up as e.g. "Microsoft Operating System......" Sponsored link. In Google they show up with different background colour I'd say it's orange-ish.
