Navicular stress fractures are a common foot injury in athletes and stress fractures tend to occur in athletes such as soccer players, Basketball, sprinters and high jumpers. However, even jogging can cause Navicular fractures. The pain is every so slight in the mid foot beyond the ankle or even over the Narvicular bone and the pain will get worse during activity. Swelling may occur. The Narvicular fracture can be sometimes be seen on x-ray, but usually needs a CT scan. A short leg cast and crutches helps to heal this problem, but some patients will require surgery.
yes i have fracture in navicular bone of my lef foot, it pains me alot whenever i run or even walk a little long.. a part of bone from the below right side anckle is getting exeeded... plz sugest me what can i do, i am in a real pain.. thanx
