If you mean "octave", it is a group of eight things. Most commonly it is used to describe the relationship between a musical tone and another which has half or double its frequency. The tone with half the frequency is an octave below and the one with double the frequency is an octave above. It's called an octave because it's the eighth note in a diatonic (major or minor) scale.
Pigskin Empire is awesome! I actually play myself, I started off as an OC in college at GT under another player who was HC. You can play Pro or college and even Canadian league. You train players, recruit, evaluate, run scrimmages, drills, salary cap, draft, in-home visits, live play calling during games, customized playbook, all kinds of things. And its free! It's a good community of players and each season is about a month, and there's rankings, bowls, playoffs, etc. Try it out!
There are 3 DS3's in an OC3. Generally an OC3 or higher capacity circuit will be used to deliver a DS3 due to distance limitations of the DS3. http://www.intelletrace.com/internet-services/OC3-Internet-Services.html www.intelletrace.com Wholesale Internet for Business
775 is the socket, which they both are, intel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Corporation has the 965, 975, P35 and P38 chipsets, so you would need to narrow which you prefer. However, good news, if you go to anandtech.com you will see he did a recent review of the dfi lanparty p35 and compared all the above chipsets except p38 and they were all within about 2%-3% of each other across the board and all tests. This means you are pretty much ok with with ever you want. The only advantage of 680i (sli)edition as with the X38 is you have more OC and dual PCI-e 16x buses feature which you would not be using. So just buy the one you like the best really

OC-n / OC-xxx indicates Optical Carrier signals which are carried over a SONET (Synchronous Optical Network) fiber optical network. The numbers after OC indicate various levels or data rates in the SONET hierarchy. Hierarchy goes like OC-1, OC3, OC-12, OC-24, OC-48, OC-96, OC-192 and OC-768 OC-1 is a SONET line with transmission speeds of 51.84 Mbit/s. OC-192 has a speed of 9953.28 Mbit/s (almost 10Gbps, so also called SONET 10G). You can get more details in SONET literature. - Neeraj Sharma
