It varies depending on the severity. if the damage isn't too bad, it could be piston rings, valve seals, pcv valve, and valve covers. in the worst case it could be a whole engine block, cylinder heads, cams, oil pump, oil pump pickup, valve covers, and pcv valve. generally ive been replacing the block, valve seals, valve covers, pcv valve, and oil pump.

The oil pump on that engine is pretty easy to access and replace, since it's right there on the timing cover. I believe I wouldn't try to mess with replacing just the pressure valve, but I would replace the whole oil pump, pressure valve and all.

No. The pressure relief valve is part of the pump. The oil filter has a built in bypass valve. It is for if the filter media gets plugged the valve opens and oil still circulates.
