They may, because they do travel around. They have been all around the U.S., I believe to Canada, they had a Europian tour and I'm sure they've been other places too. So, there is a chance they may come close to India. You would have to check tour dates and schedules.

There have always been hundreds of uses for the date palm no better described by an old Arab: "We shade ourselves with it, we eat its fruit, we feed our animals from its seeds, we make baskets and mats from its leaves, we build ceilings and columns from its trunk and we use it as fuel". Indeed the date palm played an integral role in Arab life. The date fruit is not only an excellent source of food but has been well documented to have medicinal properties. The date was used as the primary ingredient in remedies to kill worms, cure sneezing, mixed with cinnamon and milk for an aphrodisiac and even used to make a potion to accelerate hair growth! And why not? The date is packed with goodness! The dried fruit is seventy per cent sugar (fructose) by weight and contains about two per cent each of protein, fat and mineral matter: Potassium, Iron, Vitamin A, B1(Thiamine), B2(Riboflavin), B3(Niacin), Phosphorus, Calcium and Magnesium. Dates and date palms have been revered in the Ancient Egyptian and Arab, Christian, Jewish, and Islamic religions, traditions and legends. As per the Muslim belief, Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.) had to sent his wife Bibi Hajra and baby son Prophet Ismail (A.S.) to exile as a part of Almighty Allah's test of Prophet Ibrahim's obedience and trust towards Allah. The mother and the son were left at the Valley of Arafat located at Mekka, Saudi Arabia with few dates and water when no body used to live in that desert. Gradually the water and dates finished and both mother and the son became thirsty. But to save the life of her son Prophet Ismail, Started running and searching for water between The Mount Saafa and The Mount Marwa (which is still traditionally observed and followed by Muslims during Hajj Pilgrims everyday). When Hajra was near to give up her hope she came back to baby Ismail (A.S.) and saw that Ismail (A.S.) was crying and with a strike of her foot to a stone water started to come up from the earth by the miracle of Allah. Bibi Hajra then gathered some stone and bound the water source. The source is known as the Jam jam Well. After few days of its creation Ibrahim (A.S.) was ordered by Allah to take his family back. When Ismail (A.S.) grew older, the family came and settled their home near the Jam jam well. So that was the beginning of Mekkah.
