Mac OS X is an operating system running a UNIX shell, unlike Windows which uses a DOS shell. Most software must be specifically designed for use on Mac OS X because of its different shell, though UNIX provides Mac with improved security.
From editor: File / Save As or File / Write To From shell: rename, move, mv
you can use any program that supports ssh (secure shell) in windows you have putty and in mac os you use terminal to do that
A .bat file is used by the Windows operating system (or MS DOS) to execute a sequence of instructions. It will not work with a Mac running Mac OS X. Depending upon what you wished to achieve you would use a Shell Script in the Terminal or Automator or AppleScript. (See links below)
Command Prompt is the command-line interpreter used within the Windows operating system. As Mac OS X is based on the Unix operating system it uses the a Unix Shell command-line interpreter. You can access the Shell by running the Terminal application which can be found in the Utilities folder which is within the Applications folder.
Thats a very good question but you can not because Mac's dont have the program called CMD.exe. and if you some how download it youll have to modify the properties. batch files run inside cmd.exe so its pretty much impossible. im sorry if mac is the only thing you have. The equivalent on the Mac would be to set up a shell script in the Terminal application found in the Utilities folder within the Applications folder. Or you could, depending upon what you want to achieve, use Automator found in the Applications folder.

shell over shell means make a shell in the middle stitch of the shell below .. if your shell is a 5 stitch shell then make a shell in the 3rd stitch of the shell below .......... if it is a 7 stitch shell make the shell in the 4th stitch of the shell below .... etc .. you are making a shell over the existing shell in the middle stitch ..

Apple does allow remote help for its users by running SSH, which is a secure shell, to log in to the system. The Apple Remote Desktop allows all this to happen.
Mac Pro is better than Mac Genius. Mac Pro is a faster computer than Mac Genius. It has old Mac based proceesors but it is faster.
Try the Mac Pro. I think it is a great tool for Graphics. It's completely worth it to shell out some extra money because it is solid and very good quality. You may want to hold out until after September, though, because Mac OS 10.6 is coming out (right now we're on 10.5).
