The chemical formula for glucose is C6 H12 O6, but nothing else has the second chemical formula. That applies to all formulas. Water is the ONLY thing that is H2 O, and oxygen is the ONLY thing that is O2.

Does sugar collocates with carbohydrates?

Sugar is a type of carbohydrate. Simple monosaccarides such as glucose and fructose are the building blocks for sugars like sucrose and starches.

What molecules are used to make carbohydrates?

Monosaccharides or simple sugar molecules are the building blocks of carbohydrates. Some examples of monosaccharides are glucose, fructose and galactose.

What does glucose molecules are the building blocks of carbohydrates mean?

It means carbohydrates are primarily made up of glucose molecules.

What are the building blocks of simple sugars?

Simple sugars are themselves building blocks of either complex sugars or carbohydrates. Glycol aldehyde is an example of a pre biotic simple sugar.

What are the building blocks of a carbohydrates?

What do carbohydrates consist of?

Carbohydrates are sugars and starches in different and often complex arrangements. There are mono-saccharides like fructose, disaccharides like glucose, polysaccharides like lactose and complex fibers and starches, all consisting of saccharides as building blocks.

What is meant by saying glucose molecules are the building blocks of carbohydrates?

The complex carbohydrates (cellulose, starch, and glycogen) are polysaccharides composed of chemically bonded glucose molecules.

Are carbohydrates formed from amino acid building blocks?

No carbohydrates are a basic class of molecules. Living organisms are made of carbohydrates, amino acids, lipids, and nucleic acids. Carbs are sugars like glucose. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein.

What are the building blocks of carbohydrates and poly-carbohydrates?

The chemical composition of Carbohydrates is described by their chemical names: carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen [the suffix -ate signifies oxygen], in varying 'proportions' (depending upon the type of sugar). The building blocks of poly-carbohydrates occur in two Forms: taking Glucose for an example - poly-Glucose in Plants is called Cellulose, while poly-Glucose in Animals is known as Glycogen.

Elements 2 and 3 are major building blocks in glucose fructose and sucrose. What are these elements?

Carbon and hydrogen

What are carbohydrates building blocks called?

The building block of a carbohydrate is mono saccharides.
