Flax seeds because they are good for the heart. They are a natural and organic cure for constipation. They worked for my daughter Maeghen when she was constipated, and now she is healthy! โ 12y agoPoppy seeds are most generally a bread or roll type of topping. In which case you can switch it our for a different type of seed, such as sesame. However, if you're wanting to substitute them in a recipe for " lemon poppy muffins" or something along those line, I wouldn't use another seed. Poppy seed's have a very distinct flavor, but its also mild. On another note, if you're looking more to decorate, say, a cake with them, many options are available. Anything from very fine sprinkles ( which mostly come in red and green, but can be dyed easily with food coloring). Or even shaving some chocolate very fine. In terms of texture, you could use food coloring on sugar cubes, and them break them up into any texture you're looking for. Hope this helps.
