it controls fuel delivery to high pressure part of pump in common rail engines
Diesels generally do not have pcv.
DDIS means Direct Diesel Injection system which are used in diesel engines. It's similar to VVT (variable Valve timing) which are used in petrol engines.
The air suction valve is designed to reduce gas emission in combustion engines. Also known as a PAV, or pulsed air valve, the valves work on their own in the exhaust system and need no maintenace from the bike owner. The valve can be removed but then the bike's emission may not fulfill the criteria of air pollution regulations, for example in California.
EGR stands for "Exhaust Gas Recirculation". the 7.3 is a Diesel engine not a Gas engine. Diesel engines are not equipped with an EGR.
Only gas engines use blow off valves.
As a diesel engine does not have a throttle valve in the air intake, no useable depression is created in the intake manifold. That is why diesel engines are fitted with vacuum pumps to operate the brake servo.
a diesl does not have a PCV valve a diesel does not create vaccum as does a gas engine foed diesel engines have a vaccuum pump, located beneath and to side of a/c pump, this pump is to compensate and produce vaccuum for brakes, and is driven by serpentine belt
The idle air control valve on a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville is located on the intake manifold. This valve allows direct adjustment to the engines idle system.
Some two stroke engines have 4 valves, Detroit Diesel 71 series and 53 series engines for example. Most small 2 stroke engines have no "Valves" at all in the sense of the "POP" valve used in four stroke engines. Some people feel these engine has one valve because the piston acts as the valve covering the ports cut into the cylinder walls.
V V T means variable valve timing which are used in petrol engines and other is DDiS means Directs Diesel Injection System which are used in Diesel Engine
Capacity control is the process by which the flow of the discharged gas from the compressor is controlled. This can be accomplished by several method. 1. Controlling the speed of the compressor. 2. Controlling the clearance of the compressor. 3. Throttling the suction valve. 4. Suction valve unloader.
